| Description | Paths don't look after themselves. They need people to keep them accessible and easily followed, and we have a dedicated and enthusiastic team which goes out once a month to do just that.
This important work - which may involve clearing small amounts of overgrowth, replacing waymarkers or simply reporting broken stiles and damaged bridges - is done in collaboration with our county council, who value the contribution made by Hexham Ramblers.
The team is always looking for new people to get involved. If you're interested in joining it, please contact the team's co-ordinator John R. via the e-mail link above. You will then be invited to join a future event.
Our next event will be in the Slaley area. Recent past activities include the path networks around Hayden Bridge, Wark, Haltwhistle, Gilsland, Bardon Mill, Whitley Chapel, Carrshield and Ninebanks, Simonburn, Ryal, Newton and Blanchland, as well as a major step reconstruction project in Allendale.
