Description

Kindness and cooperation will make this a successful weekend.

I will definitely lead one walk.  In addition to the route shown on the link below (I did this walk last year, with a slight variation to the route shown - see photos), I would also like to go to Hodge Close, as I have never been there.  During the walk, there will be a pub stop at Little Langdale.  The Brit Inn was at the end of our walk last year - this year it will be near the end of the walk, as we'll start and finish at Chapel Stile, but we will stop here for a drink.

I have a couple of other routes in mind, which I will discuss with the people who stay at the bunk barn.  These will be weather dependent.

As with all my weekends away, everyone who stays at the bunk barn is welcome to join me for walks or make their own plans.

DIY catering.  There is a kitchen at the bunk barn.

In addition to the Brit Inn at Elterwater, there is Wainwrights in Chapel Stile.

Take A Hike is part of the Ramblers, which is a  charity.  This means we pay the lower nightly rate.

The total cost is £600.  If all 20 beds are filled, the total cost for 3 nights will be £30 per person.

I ask that everyone also makes a payment of £1.00 towards the cost of toilet roll and washing up liquid.

There is also a refundable £50 deposit, which will be given back if the premises are left in a suitable condition.  I will pay this, as it should be refunded, but ask that everyone takes care of the property.  Please do not take any indoor furniture outside - bring a camping chair with you.  The people who stay at the property are responsible for cleaning it.

There are two dorm rooms, each with four bunk beds - one room will be for females, the other for males.   The bunk beds have a pillow.  You will need to bring bedding including a pillow case, or a sleeping bag.  You will also need to bring towels, toiletries, etc.  There are four showers and four toilets.

To reserve a bunk bed, please contact me.  To secure your bunk bed, payment of £31.00 will be required within four weeks of reserving your place.  Please do not give my bank details to anyone - your place will only be confirmed if I have been contacted prior to payment being received.  If you need to cancel, a refund will be given if your place is filled by someone who contacts me first, and then pays me, after which I will refund you.
