For our 2026 Walking trip, we are delighted to offer a weekend in the
Lake District from Friday 25th to Monday 28th September 2026.
As many of you enjoyed travelling to Bute this year using public transport, we wanted to offer another relaxed, car-free option. We have therefore chosen Strathmore Travel, a company many of us have used and enjoyed previously.
Rather than joining a pre-arranged tour, Strathmore will provide a private coach exclusively for our group. This means we will have the bus for the entire weekend, allowing us to offer a mix of walking and sightseeing day trips.

- Dates: 25–28 September 2026
- Pick-up / Drop-off Points: Forfar, Dundee, and Perth (Broxden)
- Accommodation:
- 3 nights, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast
- Cumbria Grand Hotel, Grange-over-Sands
- Extras Included:
- Glass of bubbly on arrival
- Evening entertainment on two nights
Cost
- £339 per person
- Single room supplement: £75
- Deposit: £40 payable / person ( non refundable)
- Balance due: 24th July 2026

Insurance
Strathmore Travel does not provide holiday insurance, so anyone wishing cover will need to arrange their own travel insurance.

- Any mobility issues, food allergies, or dietary preferences/restrictions
We are only able to accept bookings via Email.
Deposit is required to be paid within one week of booking to secure your place. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
