| Description | A coach trip, shared with Shrewsbury Ramblers, to beautiful North Wales. There's a choice of two walks, starting and ending from the picturesque Penmaenpool hamlet, where there are toilets, a café and a traditional pub. Both walks begin by crossing the historic wooden Penmaenpool Toll Bridge spanning the beautiful Mawddach Estuary to Barmouth. From there there is a choice of two walks, both have spectacular estuary scenery, woodland paths, historic routes, mountain views, fascinating local history and include the world famous New Precipice Walk, with its outstanding seascapes and mountain views of the nearby towering Cader Idris. Walk 1 is a shorter, easy paced walk of 6½–7 miles with 1,412ft ascent with a 2pm finish at the seaside town of Barmouth (the coach will pick you up later to take you back to the start). Walk 2 is a longer 9.5 miles walk with 1,512ft ascent. Don't forget to bring a drink, packed lunch, walking poles if used, and 30p change for the bridge crossing toll fare! . The trip costs £20 (a bargain!). Both walks are graded moderate, start at 10am approx and both groups will rendezvous back at Penmaenpool by 3.30pm. The coach leaves Abbey Foregate Car Park 8am prompt, so you must arrive in time to park, pay for your parking ticket, assemble and load up.
