| Description | This re-arranged event is open to all Aylesbury Group members and their partners. The picnic will start from 1pm, to coincide with the conclusions of the two optional morning walks, see the walk details on our Group walk programme (link below). This picnic is our Summer Social event. So, bring everything you will need for your picnic with you: the picnic of course, but also chairs, tables, drinks, sun hats, umbrellas (parasols) and anything else you think you might need. There is a prize for the best picnic. Look out for our banner in Meadley's Meadow and join us there. There is no need to book a place so just turn up and enjoy the company. Keep your fingers crossed that the weather will be kinder this time. There are toilets at the nearby National Trust (NT) Visitor Centre, and a cafe and a shop. If you want to get there early to enjoy the lovely surroundings, please do. |
| Location | The picnic is being held in Meadley's Meadow behind the National Trust Visitor Centre at Ashridge. Parking is available along Monument Drive and by the Centre. The NT asks for a £2 donation for parking if you are not an NT Member. There is a bus service from Tring to Aldbury. If you can offer a lift to a fellow member, then please do. |
